“This terraced vineyard lying beneath the ruins of the Château de la Bâtie overlooks the River Rhone from the left bank.”
A 5.5 hectare estate in the hamlet of Rozier on the heights of Ampuis, 3 km from the centre of the village. We have produced Côte Rôtie wines since 1991 and Condrieu since 2011.
In 2006, we decided to cross the river and plant Syrah in a vineyard near the town of Vienne in Isère. So “La Bâtie” was born, a vin de pays from the Rhone hills, with the first bottles made from the 2009 vintage. This is a relatively unknown wine with 600 to 900 bottles produced a year for the moment. It’s a fine, elegant red wine that will delight you when drunk young

The vintages

  • In the Cellar
