Les Vins de Vienne

“We were convinced of the potential of the terroir, and wanted to show it was possible to produce great vintage wines on the left bank of the Rhone.”

Yves Cuilleron, Pierre Gaillard and François Villard were among the pioneers of the northern Rhone area’s rebirth in the 1980s. Three winemakers with three different approaches to the vine and to wine. Vienne Wines has achieved an alchemy of merging three sensibilities into a productive team spirit. The collective commitment to quality of Vienne Wines is a natural result of each individual’s experience.
They dreamed of reviving the Seyssuel vineyard. They have done so with passion and pleasure. The adventure began in 1996, when they rented some waste land… They now produce three different wines on the Seyssuel hills, the famous Heluicum, Taburnum and Sotanum.
